Jess and Ladis Hoefkens celebrated their wedding in a breathtaking ceremony at the top of Mont Brévent, located in Chamonix, France, on March 28. With only 20 guests present and dressed for the occasion, Jess skied down the aisle while her father, Jon, 70, escorted her over a distance of 60 meters. The stunning backdrop of the French Alps added to the beauty of the moment as the couple exchanged vows, showcasing their shared love for skiing amidst their friends and family.
Following the ceremony, the new couple and their guests indulged in canapes and champagne before they all skied down the mountain together. Jess, a fitness coach from Weymouth, Dorset, shared that the small wedding was essential to reduce pressure, considering it was a blend of her active mountain family and Ladis’ non-skiing relatives. After meeting on Tinder in 2019, the couple’s love blossomed, leading to an engagement during a sunset walk in September 2022 and ultimately a memorable wedding day filled with joyous celebration and a live band, Revolverlites, at their reception.

Your grilled cheese sandwich preferences could reveal a lot about you. If you like the simplicity of American cheese, maybe you’re easygoing. Need to have a 15-year aged cheddar? Maybe you’re a little high maintenance — just a little. According to a survey, if and how you like your grilled cheese says something about your sex life.
• 81% of its participants who love grilled cheese say they have donated time, money or food to those in need. And 84% of grilled cheese fans love to travel, compared with 78% of those who aren’t fans.
• The most popular cheese according to the survey is American, favored by 41%, followed by cheddar (33%), mozzarella (10%), Swiss (8%), provolone (6%) and brie (2%).
• A picky 10% of participants say they remove the crust from their sandwich; 47% say they like to add extras such as pesto and tomato, while 53% say they like their sandwiches with just cheese.
• When it comes to the bread, white bread had the most fans with 51%, then wheat (29%), sourdough (13%), rye (4%) and baguette (3%).
Kurt Cobain’s smashed white Fender Stratocaster has achieved an impressive sale price of $101,500 at auction, highlighting its status as a coveted piece of music history. Dylan Kosinski, the president of the popular auction site Gottahaverockandroll, confirmed that the guitar’s auction concluded recently with a Texas collector as the winning bidder. The instrument, which had ignited a bidding war, sold for much higher than the starting bid of $30,000, reflecting its significant value among collectors.
Originally smashed during Nirvana’s 1992 European tour, the guitar was restored while the band continued its tour. Its authenticity was validated by Big John Duncan, a well-known guitar technician associated with the band, who also ensured it was in working order after the damage. While this sale is substantial, it does not surpass the record for Cobain’s gear; one of his guitars used in the iconic “Smells Like Teen Spirit” sold for a staggering $4.5 million. Nonetheless, the $100,000 sale certainly makes for a good day for the seller, demonstrating that even guitars can hit the right notes in the market.

A survey finds that even if a wife or girlfriend speaks those words 88 percent of men will ignore her wishes and get her something. Good idea, since women in the survey said even if the say they don’t want anything, 63 percent still expect a small gift.
Justin Bieber recently found himself in a heated confrontation with paparazzi, which he documented on his Instagram account. As he and his wife, Hailey Bieber, were leaving an undisclosed location, they were met with a swarm of photographers, and the pop star recorded the exchange while himself remaining out of view. The video captures Bieber’s discontent as he points out the escalating situation and notes Hailey’s attempts to shield her face from the flash photography.
In the midst of the chaos, a security guard intervened, placing himself between Bieber and the photographers, telling them to back off. Frustrated by the relentless attention, Bieber declared in his post, “This has to stop,” highlighting the ongoing conflict the celebrity has been facing with paparazzi. This isn’t an isolated incident; just days earlier, Bieber experienced a similar altercation outside a coffee shop in Palm Springs. It seems the ongoing struggle with the paparazzi is causing tensions to rise, and with each clash, it becomes increasingly clear that things are getting ugly.
The Tennessee Board of Parole has made a significant move by unanimously recommending a pardon for the country music singer Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord. During a hearing held on April 22, which lasted around an hour and 45 minutes, numerous witnesses testified in support of the musician. Notably, Nashville Sheriff Daron Hall publicly advocated for Jelly Roll, declaring on social media that he had requested a pardon for the artist from Governor Bill Lee a year prior and was excited about the board’s recommendation now resting with the governor.
Although there is no clear timeline for when Governor Bill Lee will announce his decision, Jelly Roll expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the progress achieved in his case. He described the board’s recommendation as “incredible” and hopes for a favorable outcome. Rising to fame with his 2023 album Whitsitt Chapel—featuring popular tracks such as “Halfway to Hell” and “Save Me”—Jelly Roll is also recognized for his active role in American Idol as the Artist in Residence. With a past marked by struggles with the law and a commitment to bettering himself after the birth of his daughter, Bailee Ann, Jelly Roll’s journey serves as an inspiration, reminding us that even in tough times, there’s always hope on the horizon—especially when the possibility of a pardon is on the table.
Carlos Santana is currently recovering in a hospital due to dehydration, which forced him to postpone his scheduled performance in San Antonio, Texas on April 22. Michael Vrionis, a representative for the 77-year-old musician, announced that Santana had been taken to the hospital for observation after experiencing dehydration while at the Majestic Theatre, where he was preparing for the show.
In his statement, Vrionis expressed disappointment over the need to postpone the concert but emphasized that prioritizing Santana’s health was the wisest decision. He assured fans that Santana is doing well and is eager to return to San Antonio and continue his tour across the United States. It’s unfortunate that the concert had to be rescheduled, but at least the legendary guitarist is taking it easy—for now.

Pope Francis has died at the age of 88 on Easter Monday, prompting an outpouring of grief from celebrities and international leaders alike. The Vatican confirmed the death after the Pope had been hospitalized for weeks due to health issues, including double pneumonia. His final public appearance came on Easter Sunday, where he greeted thousands in St. Peter’s Square and met with Vice President JD Vance, showcasing his commitment to his role until the end.
In response to the Pope’s passing, various notable figures have shared their condolences. Whoopi Goldberg reflected on a personal moment with the Pope, emphasizing his inclusive message of Christ’s love. Antonio Banderas honored him for his compassion and kindness towards the impoverished, while King Charles III praised the Pope’s devotion to fostering unity within the Church. With a legacy built on kindness and laughter, Pope Francis will be remembered fondly by many.
Americans spend an average of 18 full days in their car every year, so it’s not a surprise that 64 percent of us consider our car a friend. Over a third of Americans would rather themselves get a scratch than their car, while another 15 percent would rather break a bone in their own body than have their car break down. One in five (21 percent) would rather spend an entire day in jail than have their car get totaled, and a wild 13 percent of Americans would actually break up with their partner before parting with their car. 44 percent have named their car.

Social media is buzzing with complaints about the trends that people can’t stand anymore, and let’s just say, some of the responses are pretty relatable. From subscription services invading every aspect of life—like who wants to pay to read a newspaper?—to the cringe-worthy family vlog channels exploiting kids for views, it seems there’s a consensus on what needs to go. Seriously, are we really still okay with watching strangers raise their children on the internet for clicks? It’s like a modern-day circus, but without the popcorn.
Then there are the beauty and fashion trends sparking outrage, like lip fillers and the dreaded “broccoli haircut.” Believe it or not, some folks are calling for the end to over-inflated lips and mop-top hairstyles that make it impossible to tell if you’re looking at a person or an alpaca. If anyone’s had enough of overpriced specialty desserts like those almost-sickeningly rich cookies from trendy shops, they’re not alone. Are we really dropping six bucks for a cookie that’s 700 calories? Talk about a calorie crime!
While some trends might have seemed harmless in their inception, the opinionated internet is making it clear: trends are fickle, and they can vanish just as quickly as they arrive. The real question is, what will make the chopping block next? A fellow user alluded to how AI-generated art is kind of ruining creativity—maybe it’s high time we take a collective stand and remind ourselves what authentic expression really looks like.
So, if you’re feeling frustrated or just plain amused by what’s happening in the world of trends, you’re not alone. The great trend fast-track maybe just needs a reboot, because at this rate, the only trend we actually need is simply keeping our sanity intact.
In an effort to postpone reality, an elderly German woman kept her dead husband in bed for four months. The husband’s sister became suspicious when she repeatedly called the house, and the wife told her that he didn’t want to see any visitors. The sister eventually called police and they confirmed that the 76-year-old man had died of natural causes.
Men and women may not agree on much, but it appears the sexes are united when it comes to the opinion that most men could use some help in the fashion department. In fact, results of a recent survey show that 75 percent of men admit that part of their wardrobe could use an update, and nearly 75 percent of women believe that at least one of the men in their lives could use a fashion makeover. More than one-third of men rarely even try on clothes before buying (as opposed to the majority of women who do). 64 percent of men go clothes shopping because they have to, whereas the majority of women clothes shop because they want to. Nearly 80 percent of men say that when they are dressed nicely they feel better about themselves. 78 percent of men describe their personal style as “Average Joe” and only 14 percent of men see themselves as “fashion- forward.”

The couple (from Raipur) said at the time that they might change their minds later and rename the children.

In Spain a man was short on cash and decided to enjoy some wine in a grocery story. He apparently planned this in advance because the man brought a bottle opener and small stemless wine glass with him. He got about two-thirds of the way through a bottle of red when a manager asked him what he was doing. The man was honest: “I love red wine and I am poor but will repay you when I come into money.” Because the guy was a bit tipsy he was easy to corral until police arrived. He was told to leave the remainder of the open bottle behind.
Researchers have discovered that using text abbreviations can negatively affect interpersonal relationships. In a survey of 150 American texters, a significant majority reported utilizing abbreviations, with many believing it had no detrimental effect on their communication. However, findings indicate that using shortcuts like “thx” or even just consonants makes the recipient feel undervalued or brushed off, discouraging engagement.
In experiments with 1,170 participants, the preference for fully spelled-out messages was evident, with abbreviated texts consistently perceived as less sincere. This pattern held true even among close friends, highlighting that brevity in messaging can inadvertently express a lack of effort. It was further tested on the platform Discord, which revealed that messages filled with abbreviations elicited fewer responses. Ultimately, while occasional abbreviations may not doom a relationship, an overreliance on them can undermine genuine connection. So, put the “thanks” back in your texts—because sometimes, words matter more than we realize.

Sabrina Carpenter has made a notable entrance into the gaming world as a new character skin in Fortnite, a decision that hasn’t gone unnoticed by players. The addition has sparked a wave of reactions, with varying opinions on the appropriateness of introducing such characters into the popular game.
One particularly vocal player took to Twitter to express their disbelief about the decision, stating, “they never should’ve added Sabrina to Fortnite LMFAOOO.” This humorous critique not only reflects individual sentiments about the character addition but also ignites further discussion amongst the Fortnite community regarding character inclusivity and the direction of the game. It seems that while some may find it a questionable choice, the lively conversation it generates keeps the gaming experience dynamic and entertaining.

Beyoncé has marked a notable milestone in her entrepreneurial journey by launching her haircare product line, C?cred, at Ulta Beauty stores across the country. The launch event in Los Angeles was a glamorous affair, with Beyoncé dazzling attendees in an all-white ensemble and showcasing her striking platinum hair, embodying the royal treatment one might expect from a music and business icon.
The launch attracted notable celebrities, including Jena Frumes, who joined the festivities by trying out some of Beyoncé’s latest haircare products. This development not only heightens the visibility of her brand but also significantly expands her market reach, as her products were previously available exclusively through her website. With this new retail partnership, Beyoncé continues to solidify her status as a powerhouse in both music and business, proving once again that she’s not just a queen on stage but in the boardroom as well. More exposure means more opportunities—and hopefully, fewer problems!
A stray dog, humorously named after the pop star Taylor Swift, has captured hearts and headlines after making a daring escape from Florida highway authorities. The pooch showcased her remarkable dodging skills, causing a significant shutdown as she evaded troopers, turning a typical highway into her personal stage. Caught on video, her antics were nothing short of spectacular and earned her a second chance at life.
After being rescued by the Humane Society of Broward County, the dog underwent a medical check that revealed troubling signs of her past, including evidence of multiple litters and a C-section scar. This highlights a sad truth, as two breeders from Miami-Dade came forward, claiming they used her for profit. Fortunately, Taylor Swift has now been adopted by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, where she will join their Paws & Stripes therapy dog program, offering comfort and support following tragic events; as Cherie Wachter from the Humane Society stated, “There will be no more puppies in Taylor Swift’s future, just spreading cuddles and love to those in need.”
Lady Gaga is taking her Mayhem Ball world tour to new heights with the announcement of 13 additional performances due to overwhelming demand for tickets. The new dates will feature second nights in Manchester and Stockholm, as well as new third nights in cities like Las Vegas, Seattle, Miami, Toronto, Chicago, and Barcelona. This expansion showcases Gaga’s immense popularity, as all previously announced shows have sold out.
The tour is set to begin on July 16 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas after her headlining performances at the Coachella Festival. Following her shows in Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, and multiple nights in Singapore, Gaga will make her way through numerous U.S. cities before heading to Europe for dates at iconic venues such as The O2 in London and Avicii Arena in Stockholm. This will be her first arena tour since 2018, and projections suggest it could be her most financially successful tour in over a decade, with anticipated earnings surpassing $100 million. It’s clear that with demands like these, Lady Gaga knows how to keep her “Little Monsters” happy!

Morgan Wallen recently opened up about the challenges of fame, admitting on the “Last Weekend” podcast with Theo Von that he still finds it to be “weird.” The 31-year-old country singer expressed that the constant vigilance required when out in public adds a layer of stress, making him avoid certain social situations. Instead of frequenting bars, which he humorously noted he hasn’t visited since a notorious incident, Wallen prefers to spend his time hunting with friends, allowing him a sense of normalcy and ease.
Wallen’s candid remarks come on the heels of his controversial and abrupt departure from “Saturday Night Live” during the show’s credits. He was the musical guest for the March 29 episode hosted by Mikey Madison and notably skipped both the afterparty and the tradition of celebrating with the cast. Despite the awkward moment, sources close to SNL indicate there is no animosity between Wallen and the show, suggesting that producers would welcome him back in the future. As he humorously remarked about his last visit to a bar, it seems that Wallen is finding ways to cope in his new reality, even if it means steering clear of the nightlife.

One of the greatest pizza hacks is that when you want to warm up the leftovers, do it in a skillet on the stove — not in the microwave. The crust will crisp and your slices won’t be soggy. Here’s another pizza hack: the next time you order a delivered pizza, order it uncut. When the pizza place cuts it, all the juices run down to the cardboard and make the crust soggy. Just after you order your pie, fire up the oven. Throw your pizza stone or sheet or whatever in there and set the temp to 220 degrees. When the pizza arrives pop it in the oven for a bit to get it hot, then remove it and slice it.
Good news, America! Out children aren’t the only couch potatoes. Scientists say nearly one third of children globally spend three hours a day on screens — TVs, tablets and computers. From Argentina to Zambia, the World Health Organization found most children aren’t getting enough exercise and it made no difference if they lived in a rich or a poor country. The researchers found only one quarter of boys and 15 percent of girls were getting enough exercise.
